ELF Haul

The company Eyes Lips Face a.k.a. ELF has been around since 2004 and I'm ashamed to say that until Thursday last week I didn't own anything from this wonderful company. In deciding what products to purchase from ELF I took a lot of time and effort to read reviews from blogs and watch youtube videos as I decided to spend £30 in order to get the free shipping discount so I wanted to make sure I would be happy with my purchases ... and after all of that this is what I bought:

I've had these products for a week now and already I've tried both of these nail polishes! They are both beautiful and last for about four days. The formula is pretty good, I find three coats is best to create an opaque look. Next time I wear them I will upload a picture to show you.

On the left is Makeup Mist & Set which you just spray on your face after you've finished appling all your makeup and it's great! It contains Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber, and Vitamins A, C and E and helps to improve makeup wearability and prevents colour from running or fading. On the right is Daily Brush Cleanser which is an "anti-bacterial daily brush cleanser for quick cleaning inbetween makeup applications". It says to spray directly onto the brush but I prefer to spray it onto a tissue and clean my brushes on that (if you would like a post explaining how I clean my makeup brushes then let me know).

I've never used mascara primer before but I decided to give this a go and I love it! What I do is curl my eyelashes first, then apply a coat of mascara primer, let it dry and then apply my mascara. It's AMAZING!

So this is for both lashes and brows but I don't tend to use clear mascara for my lashes so I've been using it solely on my brows and it's brilliant. It helps to keep them in place the whole day - can't fault it.

This is my new favourite foundation brush! As with any brush I use for foundation I always dampen it before I apply my foundation which helps to spread and buff it on to my face. This is ideal for applying any foundation because it's so dense which helps with the buffing process. LOVE IT. 

This is also my new favourite bronzer brush! Its light and soft and is quite thin so is perfect for applying bronzer.

Really happy with this brush too, not quite as dense as my stipple brush from Sigma but it's really good for applying powder as it helps to give a light coverage.

 Considering this brush was £1.50 you can't really go wrong! I don't wear eyeshadow every day but when I've used this it's been great for just packing the product straight onto my eye, great buy.

Chanel Vendetta

I've had this nail polish for such a long time and it's nearly ran out which is pretty upsetting so I thought I would take a photo to show you just how amazing the colour is. It's a beautiful, deep, very rich purple and is wearable all year round. It's really pigmented and the formula is brilliant, you only need two coats and it looks fab. Of course because it's Chanel it is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth the money. I bought mine from Debenhams for £18.

1. Is there anything in life you would like to accomplish that you haven't yet?

Once I've finished Uni I would like to buy my own car, my own house and go to Australia with my boyfriend

2. One secret you don't mind sharing with us?

 I used to suck my thumb until I was 8 .... so obviously I had to have braces!

3. How do you like to relax?

For me the best way to relax is to get into my pyjamas or trackies and a hoody and just chill in the lounge or in my bed and watch tv ... ahhhh so good.

4. What was your last major purchase?

I don't honestly remember ... but I go through phases of buying lots of clothes and make-up and then just buying nothing!

5.What can you cook very well?

Chicken stuffed with mozerella, pesto and garlic, with pasta and a tomato sauce - it's amazing!

6. What is your favorite holiday and why?

Has to be the cruise I went on in 2008. It was just amazing. We sailed around the Mediterranean for two weeks, and went to Italy, Gibraltar, Spain, Portugal, South of France etc and was just lovely. Weather was gorgeous and I met some really lovely people.

7. What is one tv show that you really don't like?

Scrubs. I just don't get it. Doesn't make me laugh in anyway shape or form. (My brother loves it though!)

8. If given a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do with it?

Oh my god it's got to be a holiday. I haven't been on one for about three years now and I am dying to get away somewhere hot!!

9.  What kind of people do you like being around?

Anyone who makes me laugh is winner. I hate being around people who are really negative and pessimistic all the time it's just so not fun! 

10. What is your one embarrassing moment?

To be honest I don't really have an embarrassing moment. However I do have LOTS of dumb blonde moments .... sometimes I can be really ditzy!

11. What one makeup mistake that you used to make?
Buying the wrong foundation colour .... orange is not a good look!
